Bruce founded Lightning Master Corporation in 1987, concentrating on solving lightning protection challenges in the broadcast industry. Shortly later after responding to the need of the U.S. Veterans Administration for more effective lightning protection technology, he invented, patented, and obtained UL listings for the Streamer-retarding Air Terminal.
With Bruce’s leadership, Lightning Master expanded into the rapidly growing cellular telephone industry. In the early 1990s, Lightning Master extended lightning protection efforts to the oil and gas industry. In 1994, Bruce designed the In-Tank Static Drain, followed by the patented bypass conductor system for external floating roof tanks in 2012. Around the same time, Bruce invented the WindTripper wind damage mitigation and spoiler system for residential and commercial rooftops. In 2017, Bruce patented the Tazman Turbinz Generator designed for emissions-free power generation at remote gas well sites.
Bruce is a leading international authority on static solutions and lightning protection for the oil, natural gas and chemical industries. He has authored more than 50 articles on lightning protection for domestic and global trade/professional publications.
